Industrial Microwave Systems (IMS) is an acquired brand of Microwave Techniques, LLC, a microwave technology company headquartered in Gorham, ME. Microwave Techniques has two primary business divisions: components and systems. The components division is based in Gorham, Maine and the systems division is based in Nashua, New Hampshire.

IMS MT

IMS equipment is now manufactured in Nashua, NH at the Microwave Techniques facility. We are the leading designers of innovative, patented microwave systems for continuous flow manufacturing processes that require rapid and uniform heating and drying. Industrial Microwave Systems (IMS) commercial operations are managed from Microwave Techniques corporate offices in Gorham, ME and Nashua, NH.

IMS: Microwave Techniques

In 2021, IMS joined the Microwave Techniques (MT) group. It consists of the legacy brands and product lines from Mega Industries (MEGA), Ferrite Microwave Technologies (FMT), Micro Communications Inc. (MCi), and FXR Loads. With the incorporation of the IMS product line, the group now offers an extensive line of microwave heating and drying systems for solids and fluids. Microwave Techniques is unique within the industrial microwave industry. We couple the design, engineering, and manufacture of components, with end-to-end integration for all microwave system development.

Ferrite Microwave Technologies

For over 40 years, Ferrite Microwave Technologies has designed and built the world’s most advanced industrial microwave systems and high power microwave components. FMT leads the market in advanced technology and global install base. Ferrite’s Industrial Microwave Systems division produces solutions for tempering, cooking, heating and drying products across a wide range of industries. Ferrite systems are located in production facilities all across the world.

Ferrite’s Components & Integrated Assemblies division provides products for frequencies from 50 MHz to 50 GHz, that handle power levels ranging from 5 W to 50 MW. Ferrite components are found in national laboratories, medical research institutes, radar and communications systems, and more.

Mega Industries

A trusted name in microwave technology since 1989, Mega Industries is the global leader in high-power waveguide and related RF components. Mega specializes in high-power, low-frequency components and sub-assemblies for demanding applications. Currently, Mega supplies components and equipments for radar systems, commercial microwave ovens, broadcast equpiment, air traffic control systems, medical research, linear accelearators, and fusion energy research.
